10 Minutes Makes All The Difference




I am really enjoying my 35 before 35 challenge, and all the wonderful things I am learning about my needs!


One of my goals has been to pause each day and invite stillness or meditation into my life. If you know me in real life, you know "still" isn't a word that would ever be used to describe me. I thrive when I'm on the go, exploring new places, making friends, on adventures.


But I still need stillness. And I am really benefiting from spending a few minutes each day pausing.


For example, a couple days ago, I had a really busy day and needed to make some big business decisions. Typically, I would have become a little anxious and it would have been challenging to keep my thoughts from bouncing all over the place.


Since I knew I struggle with this situation, I scheduled my pause right after a long meeting. After I finished deep breathing along to calming, wordless music, I felt refreshed and centered. And I continued the rest of the day with focus and determination.


I strongly encourage you to also add a moment of pause into your day! It is a small thing, but it can have immensely powerful benefits!
