The first step to increasing self-love isn't about you...

Did you know the first step to increasing your self-love isn’t about you at all?

The first step to enhancing your love for yourself is putting yourself in an environment of positivity

How? As much as you can, choose to engage with others who build you up, and make you feel joyful and hopeful. You can also improve your environment through engaging in small, temporary environment changes, like taking stock of your sound environment! If your work space is loud or filled with chaotic sound, put on headphones (if you can) and listen to a low volume white noise, or calming wordless music.

Also be mindful about the music you are consuming - in the car, while you are working, what you listen to for pump up music at the gym. Do the songs build you up and encourage you to embrace your power and passions? If not, it’s time to be more intentional. Here are some ideas:

  • Songs for your mental health walk: “Walk With Me” by GoldFord, “Chariot” by Mega

  • Songs for your workout: “Good as Hell” by Lizzo, “Bootylicious” by Destiny’s Child

  • Songs for your commute: “Love Myself” by Andy Grammer, “Value” by Tori Kelly

We hope this helps you celebrate you!
