Hop on Board! My 35 Before 35 Challenge

I've hit an end of summer slump and to help me change my mindset, I'm starting a 35 before 35 (I've got a birthday end of Sept!) challenge.

I am renewing my commitment to my mental, emotional, and physical health goals. Because I deserve to be healthy.

And so do YOU!

So, I'm inviting YOU to join this challenge.

Step 1: Think of one thing you'd like to do to maintain or improve your MENTAL health.

Think of one thing you'd like to do to maintain or improve your EMOTIONAL health.

Think of one thing you'd like to do to maintain or improve your PHYSICAL health.

If you need some ideas, here are mine:

MENTAL health: No over-eating (this can be a coping mechanism for me)

EMOTIONAL health: Dance in front of the mirror to 1 song complimenting myself

PHYSICAL health: Follow my half-marathon training plan

Or, your goals can be completely different than mine. They can be whatever you need and want them to be!

Step 2: Select a timeline. I'm doing each of these things for the 35 days before I turn 35!

Step 3: Find an accountability partner. I have a few friends who are going to support me, and I'm sharing all of this over on our Get In Tune Instagram page.

Step 4: Start!

Now the MOST IMPORTANT PART:

Sometimes your goals may seem too hard. Sometimes you won't be in the mood.

But you've also got a powerful tool to support you through this: MUSIC!

Here's one example of how I reached for music to help me on Day 1:

I did my exercise for the day, felt pretty accomplished, and then started to feel bored. I really felt the desire to mindlessly snack and scroll.

Instead, I put on some upbeat music and did my chores! Music made the time pass by and motivated me to do the things I'd been putting off.

I'll share another way I use music to help with goals next week! Best wishes!
