My Big Realization

You know that stereotype that doctors are the last ones to go get medical care? I've realized that I have a music therapy equivalent!

After using music all day to help our clients, I forget to use music in my own life, for me.

Since starting my 35 before 35 challenge (see the blog post right before this!), I've been reaching for music more. Even things as simple as playing music in the background during my commute or while doing the dishes, has been really impactful.

I've noticed, especially during times of stress, that music provides containment for my feelings, comfort and safety.

I've thankful to have rediscovered this!
